Compression Socks, but Better
•Posted on March 06 2017
Let’s admit it: we love nature and we definitely love winter and the snow, but sometimes it can be a pain in the neck… and in the feet as well.
When it’s too cold, ordinary compression socks just could not deliver, at least not as much as wool socks could. If you have not tried wearing merino wool socks yet, then I highly suggest that you give it a try.
Unlike wool socks, cotton loses its insulating properties when it gets too cold and, consequently, wet. You may even be better off not wearing anything on your feet. Wearing warm boots would be like jumping from the frying pan and into the fire, since it would just cause your feet to perspire and dampen your socks with sweat. Hence, you’d still end up with cold, clammy feet. It’s far worse when you have foot conditions or you have to stand and walk around for hours.
Suffice it to say, it is a good decision to invest in a pair of good, high-quality merino wool compression socks. Aside from keeping your feet warm and toasty this cold winter, wool is more absorbent than cotton. It can absorb at least 1/3 of its weight before it starts feeling damp. Nevertheless, it still insulates when wet so you don’t end up with cold, sweaty feet.
Moreover, it dries a lot faster than cotton and its fibers have natural antibacterial properties, so it is a lot more odor resistant that its cotton counterpart. Thus, you have to wash it too, but not as much as and not as often as cotton compression socks.
Here at Rikedom Sports, we have designed a new line of compression socks that is made from—yes, you guessed it—high quality merino wool. Specifically, it is 30% Merino wool, 20% Stretch nylon, 35% Bamboo rayon, and 10% Spandex. With it’s 20mmhg - 30 mmhg medical compression machine, it is perfect for your different foot woes. It is proven to promote blood flow, thoroughly massage legs (which is borderline euphoric if your job requires you to stand for long period of hours), and increase circulation to reduce leg swelling, pain, & fatigue. They also come in unique and fun designs so you can match it with your outfits!
